Not that the local trucks didn't have the logos, I've just never seen one up close like that. I didn't know that they used trucks that size for moving, then I put it together. They would fill that truck (which is called a Tractor Trailer or 18 wheeler ) and they do pick-ups and drop-offs as they go from destination to destination, state to state. I then asked how could I get into the Long-Distance Department I was told that I wouldn't make it. So, about two weeks into The Moving Business, I kept hearing these three guys quoting these jobs with big amounts and big deposits. We in The Local Department only collected $100.00 deposits and the most a job could end up is five hundred to a thousand dollars. These guys, I later found out were in The Long-Distance Department. It was like only The Big Dogs were in that group. I mean they drove the best cars, they spoke the loudest they were like me, a TRUE ALPHA. Only thing was I wasn't over there. Even though at that time, I wasn't a good moving salesman, I knew that because I have the gift of gab nothing is too hard for me to sell.
